Day1 - Recommendations for Machu Picchu + Machu Picchu Montaña
From Aguas Calientes you have two options to reach Machu Picchu, you can go by bus, which takes 25 minutes or you can go walking, which takes 1 hour and 30 minutes more or less.
For access to Machu Picchu and Machu Picchu Montaña, you don´t have to enter with a guide necessarily if you don´t want to hire a guide you can visit on your own.
To climb the highest Mountain (Machu Picchu Montaña) we have 2 schedules, one early at 07:00 am and the second schedule is at 09:00 am. in each schedule only 200 people can climb this mountain, which means only 400 people can climb this mountain per day.
This mountain is the highest Mountain in Machu Picchu and one of the most requested by people, and the spaces run out very quickly. For this reason, we highly recommend book with months in advance.
According to the rules of Instituto Nacional de Cultura (INC), you have 6 hours to visit Machu Picchu + Machu Picchu Montaña, and the ticket is valid just for one use, you can not use twice the same ticket.
This Mountain is open 360 days of the year.
You must bring original passport, Mosquitoes repellent, sunblock, raincoat, hiking shoes, small day pack, etc.
